Your body needs water
Water is the nutrient that your body needs the most. Between 60 and 70 percent of adult body weight is water. Child's body is 80 percent water, and five months old embryo's body water content is 94 percent.
Water dissolves solids and delivers nutrients (vitamins and minerals) into the body cells and carries wastes from the cells.
Water regulates body temperature and is essential for breathing.
To function normally human body requires at least 1.5 gallons of fluid per day.
